Daipayan (Deep) Guha, winner of a $15,000 Postgraduate Award.

Deep received his Bachelor of Science with Honours in Laboratory Medicine and Pathobiology from the University of Toronto.   Graduating with a cumulative Grade Point Average of 3.98 / 4.00, his outstanding academic record has been recognized with numerous awards and distinctions.

With a passion for science and a desire to offer comfort and health as a physician, Deep is pursuing his Doctor of Medicine at the University of Toronto. 

“It is therefore our responsibility to use the privilege of our education to uplift those less fortunate.  Thus far I have been able to fulfill a small part of this responsibility.  However, I hope that through further training as a surgeon-scientist, I will have gained the expertise to do more, to offer comfort and health those lacking them.”
